“If you don’t know how to fix it, please stop breaking it.”

I think everybody must be familiar with this girl in the video. She is that inspiring kid who spoke the truth about the world and the environment, which all the adults might have forgotten. Two days ago, Schmoyoho redelivered the message by using this catchy song. The original speech is already moving, but the song is not less moving.

Cullis-Suzuki’s speech reminds me of all those environmental campaigns in those Doraemon comic books, TV series, and movies, which opened my eyes, when I was a little kid, that we must protect our earth, not from aliens, but from our own dirty hands. Her speech is still significant even after years. Her message is not only for the governments around the world, but when the ones having the power over regulations don’t make a significant actions, how can we truly protect our world? Not to mention when all the leaders don’t work together, but keep the grudge and fight against each other.

Then, it’s no wonder if you look closely to the faces in that room when Cullis-Suzuki is delivering her speech. Some of them look moved, but many just look disinterested. They probably think that a kid doesn’t know anything, but look, even now as an adult, that kid still holds her belief and words to protect the Earth.

What real actions have you done? That is the question.
